Hi Everyone.

I don't post much on the board, but I thought I would give an update and share my experience.

I am 3 months out, and I have lost 50 pounds :). I started at a size 20 and I'm wearing 14's now, and can squeeze myself in to 12's, but it's not th prettiest sight...LOL.

I feel wonderful..sometimes I forget that I even had surgery (except for the eating the 3 bites and I'm full part..LOL). I have 100 times more energy than before!

I go the gym a least 4-5 days a week, and it feels so good to have the gym be a part of my daily routine. In fact, I don't feel right if I skip a day or two. Aqua aerobics has become my best friend! I never thought that I could love the gym because I hated it before, but I just had to find things that I like to do. I really enjoy the classes because the keep me accountable and I'm in and out of the gym in an hour, and have burned a lot of calories. I also do the body sculpting which is aerobics with light weights..and that class has done wonders! I also enjoy the cardio kickboxing. It's amazing how much endurance I have now, before I could barely keep up in a class for 10 minutes, but now I can do the whole hour and I even stay and work out more or swim laps after my class. For anymore just starting to get into the gym rountine, I highly suggest water aerobics..great starter class!!!!!!!

I have had no problems to speak of (I'm very luck, I know). I can eat anything, but still only very small amounts. I'm full after about 3 or 4 bites of ANYTHING...especially dense protein. I'm never starving..maybe a little hungry sometimes but not very often. It's crazy..before the sleeve..it seems like all I ever thought about was food and the next time that I was going to eat.

I don't stick to any particular diet, I just make better decions when it comes to food. I follow the plan of eating protein first, then vegatable, and if I have room (which I never really do), I eat anything else.

I do treat myself to an occasional bite of desert, or maybe a Hawaiian shaved ice once in awhile, but that is the joy of the sleev,e is that I just need a 1 bite..and I am very satified.

I'm not a big drinker but I do have a glass of wine or a vodka/grapefruit on the weekends sometimes. I have had no problems at all. I do get buzzed very fast, so I limit it to just one glass. It's kind of weird actually, the alcohol hits me faster now, but it also leaves me faster. I sober up within an hour. Does this happen to anyone else?

I would have to say that the sleeve has changed my life just as much emotionally as much as physically. My whole mind set is different, and I don't live with that guilt every day like I did before, after I over ate or ate the wrong thing once again...I used to beat myself up about  that, and felt guilty all the time. Then the dissappointment in myself, then the promises to eat better, then indulging once again. It was like a vicious cycle...NO MORE!

One of my favorite things to do, is cook, entertain, and throw parties and bar-b-q's for friends and family. So...I just embrace it! I still have the parties, and cook all kinds of food for everyone...but I just , I just eat a bite, and I'm satisfied. I still like making everyone happy with my good cooking, and I still get the joy out of it, even though I can't eat very much.

Anyhow, I know that I am still early out, and I'm sure I still have a lot to learn about this surgery, but so far, so good...and I just wanted to share my experience with you all, especially for those considering the sleeve...best decision I have ever made for myself!!!

I do have one question for those of you that are a little further out than me? What should I expect the next 3-6 months? I mean, I know that the 1st 3 months is easier because the weight comes off so quickly. So, I'm just wondering if anyone has some words of wisdom to get me through the next 3 months. I think that I'm just starting to lose some hair. Not handfuls, but I do notice some hair is falling out in the shower..much more than before. Im taking the biotin, so I'm not sure what else I can do...grin and bear it I suppose :)

Okay, well thank you for reading and thank you in advance for any feedback.
