6 MONTHS OUT
Dec 02, 2009
I am officially 6 mths out , and I have lost 95 lbs. I can not tell you what an adventure this has been. I am closing in on goal, so now I am adding in more carbs, I don't want to lose too much weight. I am hoping that I can STOP at 150. That may even be too much for me. I am currently wearing a size 10 jeans ,and they are getting to big. AMAZING!!!! I love this surgery and what it has done for me. My biggest concern right now is my Labs, I want to get everyrthing up to where it needs to be. So I can be as much as I can be.

LIfe after surgery
Jul 25, 2009
recovery has been textbook and i'm so grateful for this. I wish everyone who is overweight could have surgery because no one should have to live like that. There is life after surgery and I can't wait to enjoy every minute of it.
Dedicated to my sisters memory.
Apr 25, 2009
to actually get to have surgery for the first time in months.
I am having this surgery in my best friends (my sister) memory.
She was killed in a tragic car accident 3 years ago. Me and her
were both heavy and struggling with weight and smoking and I'm
going to get healthy because that's what she would have wanted. If
she were here she would be doing this with me. SO I WILL NOT
GIVE UP!
IMPORTANT DECISION
Apr 24, 2009
I have made an important decision today, I am switching to Centennial, and Dr. Houston. I am sure this is the right thing
to do. I have had a really bad feeling about the clinic I was at.
I know I am far from the only patient who wanted surgery, but
I have only heard of 1 person having surgery there lately. I
waited long enough . 3 weeks is waaay to long to have been
approved and still not even have a surgery date.
I am nervous about starting somewhere else, but I feel I have no choice.
I am finially approved!
Apr 07, 2009
On April 6th I was approved. It has been a very long hard journey to get here.
Seriously this is not for wimps or for people who give up easily. I have called my
insurance almost everyday for 6 weeks. My first fax was sent on Feb 27 to insurance
and approved April 6th. I started this Oct 1st 2008 by going to get all my information
and psychic evaluation on Oct 7, 2008. I stopped smoking around Dec 12,2008. I had
my consult with Dr. Richards Jan. 8 2009. Well I'm glad to be this far.
Total frustration!
Feb 11, 2009
very difficult. I feel so helpless and frustrated and fat and ugly and on
and on. I need to seriously pull myself together. Throughout this whole
ordeal I feel as though I had a little control, but now it's all up to the lady
who does insurance at Dr. Richards office and my insurance company.
I am so depressed and upset I need to turn toward GOD and give him
this. I know better than to try and do this on my own. It never works out
until I let the LORD take control. AMEN
Insurance Approval
Jan 29, 2009
going to submit my insurance today. I'm going to hope it goes good.

Dec 27, 2008
