I am sure like most, I have been fat since I can remember. I was a fat child, adolescent, and now adult. Every single event in my life has an underlying current of weight! I was always the fat one in a group. I am always the funny one, not the cute or skinny one. It seems no one takes the fat girl seriously. I can remember in grade school boys teasing other boys in front of me "he likes you" and laughing! I know they were making fun.
Dieting for me began at age 10 when I asked my mother to buy me slim fast. I don't remember the results, but based on pictures I doubt it was successful. Up and down all of my life, but never normal!
I never thought about being a candidate for WLS, until I took my mother to see her PCP. He asked me about weight loss plans, and of course I recited the list of plans I have experienced with. He suggested WLS! With his support I hope to be a success!
I have chose not to tell anyone besides my BFF, DH, and my mother. I don't think anyone else would be very supportive!
I leave for Puerto Vallarta on August 2, 2007!
