Feeling Better... :-) 9/17/08

Hello,

Today I saw my surgeon, Dr. Rumsey. He is fantastic.  His smile and words just encouraged me.  I am weighing 203 lbs.  I am 4 pounds from my first goal of 199.  I just can't wait.  Dr. Rumsey said I was doing great.  The weight loss is good.  I just feel like it's real slow but he said slow was good.  I am continuing to exercise.  For all those out there who's weight loss is slowing coming off like me.....all I can say is just keep at it.  I have and I really do feel the difference.  I am wearing a size 18 but can probably fit into a size 16.  I can't wait until I weigh under 200 lbs.  We will celebrate!

Hello Out There,

Well today is September 5, 2008, I am weighing 208 pounds.  It's just not coming off.  I am watching my eating.  Staying away from carbs.  Protein, exercise......must lose weight!!!!!!!!

Well hello out there in cyberland.  I am stuck.  I lost 2 pounds last month.  Barely moving the scale a pound in three weeks.  I am exercising four times a week.  What am I doing wrong?????  I started by wearing a size 26 and now I can squeeze into a size 16.  Although size 16 is just not comfortable so I wear a size 18.  It's exciting to hear the comments from my co-workers.  I know I have much to be grateful for but I want to continue to lose weight.

Desperately trying to lose weight.

Hello Out There In  Cyperland.....

Well I am just  reporting in.  I   weigh  212  pounds!   I  can't  wait  to  weigh  under  200  lbs.   I  am  so  excited.   The  weight  loss  has  started  to  slow  down.   I  am  continuing  to  exercise  4  times  per  week  for  22  minutes  at  level  9  on  the  elliptical.   I  also  do  sit  up's  
on  the  exercise  ball  (at  home)  and  lift  light  weights  for  my  arms.  

 I  am  wearing  a  size  18.  ( I  started  at  size  26!!!!!!)   I  can  feel  the   difference  but  I  still  need  to  lose  more  weight.   I  am  only  5  feet  tall  so  I  am  still  very  round.   I'm  not  even  sure  if  my goal  weight  of  130  is  going  to  be  enough.   I  can't  think  that  far  ahead.    Baby   steps.   First  things  first.... weigh  under  200  lbs  then  continue   marching  onward. 

Oh,  I  am  LOSING  MY  HAIR......IT  IS  SHEDDING  OFF.  I  am taking  biotin,  I  am  using  Nioxin  and  I can  see  the  hair  growing  back  but  my  hair  looks  completely  different  because  of  the  hair  loss.  I  have  been  told  that  it  will  stop  falling  off  in  a few  months.  I  will  keep  you  posted. 

I  must  share  that  I  am  not  doing  it  alone.   My  sister  who  weighs 131  lbs  is  a  great  inspiration.   She  goes  with  me  to  the  gym,  she   encourages  me  and  she  prays  for  me.   I  can  never  thank  her  enough.

Well  folks,  I  will  check  back  in  a  few  months  and  update  you.

Hello Everyone,

Today is Friday, May 23, 2008, I just got back from the Gym.  I have been trying to stay on the Elliptical machine for 30 minutes.  I started a few weeks ago and I took baby steps.  I did five minutes the first time and I thought that I needed a tow truck the next day.  I couldn't move.  I didn't quit.  I went back and tried again but I did three minutes.  I was embarrassed but I knew I couldn't really do it any longer.  

I kept at it.  Four times a week adding one minute every time.  Yesterday I stayed on for twenty minutes.  I was so excited.  Today I went for it.  I stayed on for 30 minutes.  I felt so good.  I can feel the weight and inches coming off.  I feel myself able to do more and more.  I am so excited.  I can't wait to weigh under 200 lbs.  I really can't remember the last time I weighed under 200 lbs.  I am 27 lbs aways from my next goal.

Watch what you eat!  Add exercise no less than four times a week and keep going.

Today's weight is 227.  Stay tune because I can't wait to share the great news when I weigh less than 200 lbs.

4/25/08 - It's a New Day!

Hello,  Things are so much better for me.  I feel the weight coming off.  I am walking on the treadmill 30 minutes a day.  I started at 2 mph and I can now walk 15 fifteen minutes at 2.7 mph and the last 15 minutes at 3 mph.  I know it's not much but I am truly excited.  

I can't wait to increase my time and speed on the treadmill.

Hello,

I am disappointed today.  I just got back from a one week vacation with my family.  I didn't weigh in for seven days.  I got home tonight and of course, I weighed in.  I did not lose a pound.  I maintained.  I expected to have lost some weight.

Hello:

Today I hit 242 lbs.  I am so excited.  Since my surgery on March 7th, I have lost 26 pounds.  I have been walking on the treadmill everyday for 30 minutes.  I'm a slow walker but I don't give up.  I am so excited because I can see the pounds coming off.  There are even a few pair of pants that I can't wear because they fall off.

Good Luck to Everyone.  The WLS is working for me and I am so excited.
