I'm a 30 year old stay at home mom to two rambunctious boys. I've been heavy for all of my adult life. My mother-in-law got DS surgery in December and is doing great and it made me think about bariatric surgery seriously. I started down the road on March 31st. My husband is military and my requested referral to a civilian surgeon was intercepted and I was sent to the military hospital. There is a long waiting list there and they aren't doing lap band surgeries right now, so I am going to forgo the insurance fight and pay out of pocket.
We get loans for cars and other things we don't really need, why not get a loan to extend my life and regain my health?
I hope that lap band is the tool that I need to finally get healthy and be active as I want to be.
