Hey everyone! So I finally have my surgery date scheduled for May 2nd! I can't tell you my emotions because it is so hard to explain just how excited I am. It's funny because it seems sooo long down the road, but hello...it is in a month and a half...I have waited years, you would think I would be okay with a 2 months!!I'll be honest with you, I am having a hard time telling people about getting surgery. We all know how hard it is, or how hard it is going to be...but for those who don't struggle with their weight it is hard to explain going through surgery. I have my support, very few people know about the surgery. I have told my parents, and they are 100% there for me...they have seen me struggle for YEARS and they finally get to see me the way I HAVE always wanted. My boyfriend, David, is a sweetheart and he means well I know. He is of course a thin, healthy guy...who is having a hard time with the idea. He knows what I am doing and why, he is willing to help me and be there for me through thick and thin...He just sees this as the end of the world and enjoyment of food for me...and of course I say..."I would much rather give up food, than give up spending the rest of my life with you." Yes it's cheesy but soo incredibly true. I'm hoping I will be able to gather up the strength to tell my boss why I'm taking 3 weeks off of work haha. It will come to me I'm sure!
I feel like for now, my life is on hold. I have been needing new work clothes, street clothes...EVERYTHING! They either get too big or they have massive holes in them because I have worn them to death! I can't wait to buy my first pair of jeans, that don't cut off my circulation when I sit down...haha or the ones where the zipper is found down...90% of the time...SUCH AN ANNOYANCE!
Now the wait begins with insurance to approve...first letter is out, wish me luck!!
