Joel Sebastien

"My first impression of Dr. Sebastein was that he was a very quiet fellow, he always listened to what I had to say. He didn't assume anything about me and my situation. He asked many questions.rnrnMy impression of him didn't change over time all too much, he is still quiet in my opinion. Well, Dr. Sebastein can also be really soft spoken which makes him hard to hear which is a little annoying to me seeing that I have a 65% loss of hearing in both ears.rnrnDr. Sebasteins office staff is wonderful, some of the nurses can be a little annoying but the rest of the team is superb. Though it is sometimes hard to get ahold of them.rnrnWhat I like the least about Dr. Sebastein is how soft spoken he is, even with my hearing aids in.rnrnWell, if I haven't stressed it enough, he can be hard to hear so I recommend taking a friend or family member with you to your appointments to him even if you are not hearing impaired. Two sets of ears are always better than one!rnrnDr. Sebastein emphasizes aftercare to the T. He made sure I knew everything and basically grounded all of the steps into my head. His main office number has a direct line to the nurse who is there to answer any questions, be it aftercare to medications. Dr. Sebastein and his staff also pass out two folders, one for the information session that gives packets upon packets of information for all the surgeries they offer and their risks. The second folder contains booklets of exercise, diet and information for pre-op and post-op.rnrnDr. Sebastein and his staff have a very structured aftercare program that includes support group, doctors and dietitian meetings and so on and so forth.rnrnOver all, I would have to rate Dr. Sebastein a 9/10 overall. I have only subtracted a point because, you can guess, his voice volume.rnrnI would have to say his surgical competence is on par with his surgical competence. He is very understanding and a very kind and gentle person.rnrnThese are only my personal experience with Dr. Sebastein, someone else could experience something totally different than I have."
