Product Review... Chike - I like!

Aug 04, 2011

For those of you who know me, I usually beat my drum about Meal Replacement Shakes over just Protein Shakes, so here is my analogy:  Why have just a plain chicken breast when you can have the chicken, the veggies, and a starch?  Protein Shakes may have amino acids, but they usually do not have the vitamins a Meal Replacement Shake has.  Think about the quality of calories - then you will understand why I advise anyone who will listen to me, that Meal Replacement Shakes are the best way to go.

I recently got a Travel Pack from Chike, I am not saying some puny trial size, FULL SERVING Size   - Orange Cream, Chocolate Bliss, Strawberry Burst, Banana Magic, and Very Vanilla - if you would also like to try all five flavors, you can get them for 6.95 shipping, just call 877-974-2537, or go to their website: iLikeChike.com - and what I want to say is this - I LIKE CHIKE!  The calories are 190, protein is 28 grams of protein, and 23 vitamins to round this out as a real meal.  My favorite was Orange Cream.  The flavors aren't overly sweet, and the texture was wonderful in my mouth.  I felt fully satisfied, and I even checked out some of the recipes they listed on the website -- Chike made into "ice cream" by just freezing it is what I will do when I receive my new tub.

The reason I swear by meal replacement is that it does work to help control and/or lose weight.  My daughter started meal replacements just for breakfast, she ended up losing over 100 pounds, and for the last four years, she has kept them off.  Every morning she has a shake before school, which is easier for her to do than make breakfast -- doesn't that sound familiar?  With the meal replacement, I know she is getting a good chunk of her nutrition, solid protein, and she is less likely to be cranky at school - she is NOT a morning person.  I usually have two meal replacement drinks a day, so I know I am meeting my protein goals, and increasing my vitamins without eating too many calories or too much food.

If your doctor is telling you to use protein, ask the differences between meal replacement and protein shake.  Most likely your doctor will tell you to choose the more complete drink, meal replacement.  Instead of buying a tub of protein, give this sample a try - email or call Chike and tell him Brenda told you to try Chike -- hopefully you will like Chike, like I do!
