"I had gastric bypass RNY back on Aug 11,2005 by Dr. Hoddinott when he was still in PA. I was 320lbs and 22 years old. I had never had a major surgery in my life. Needless to say I was very scared and had alot of questions. From the moment I met Dr. H he was great! Wonderful bedside manor and answered every one of my questions with no BS. Dr. H is a very warm and friendly person, he helped me walk through everything I had to do before, during, and after. I developed a infection and he was there for every step til I was better and healed up. Dr H was my cheerleader and always encouraging "protein,protein,protein!" I couldnt possibly recommend him more to someone interested in gastric bypass. I was able to go down to a weight of 145lbs a loss of -175lbs! It is a tool for weightloss not a holy grail it takes dedication to keep the weight off... I have struggled with recently putting on some weight after being out 8-9 years from my surgery but I will never see 320lbs ever again, I am still maintaining a loss of -125lbs, and my pouch is still small. I do wish he was still here I would definetly make time for a appointment but Florida is too far! I miss his humor and encouragement! Florida you are lucky to have such an awesome Doctor.
