I have been overweight my whole life. Was put on skim milk as a baby, and my weight was always a topic of discussion. I went on a few short lived diets that were successful for a few months, but by my 40s was obese and miserable. The lap band was my 50th birthday present to myself. I was 273 and lost 50 lbs. Stuck in the 220s for 5 years now. I just hired a personal trainer for my 56th birthday. I have never been physically fit, and hope this gets me to my goal of 155. My goal has always been to lose all the weight, which has helped me to maintain. I do lose focus and gain a few lbs, but then I go back to work and lose them.
