"Dr Bayron and his staff are excellent professionals with a great bedside manner and a sincere effort to make things work. I had the VSG on October 30th, 2014. One month post-op I have lost 40 pounds. 20 of which I lost within 10 days. I am no longer diabetic. The severe lumbar pain that plagued me from an on the job incident in 2007 is gone. I no longer use my CPAP.
The surgery went well. My abdomen was swollen and I had uncomfortable gas. I had an unusual fever (100.9) that was treated with IV tylenol. I had no bleeding. The pain medication slowed my GI system down, and I had to use a laxative the day after surgery to get things moving. I was feeling crappy and the gas was uncomfortable. Once I had a bowel movement, the crappy feeling went away immediately. And so did the swelling of my abdomen. I was up walking around a few hours after the surgery and the more I moved around the better I felt.
