Well, i got my approval from my insurance on the first time of submission. it only took them bout a week and half to approve it which was super good. so im scheduled to have my lap band surgery on the 26Th of Oct. 2010. I cant wait to have it iv have been on a very long roller coaster of emotions for the past 5 yrs trying to find the right doctor.  Its like a surreal moment in time. Since finding my doc i have done the protein shakes off n on for the last 3 weeks  and have dropped over 17lbs .  Looking forward to my new life!!!

Hey everyone thank you for taking the time to stop by my page.  Iv been on this new journey in life called "me". I have a 5yr old little girl who is my everything w/ out her honestly don't know where my life would be at the moment. I have been trying to get this surgery for the past 5yrs now. I have had many ups and downs w/ this. 1 being when i fist started looking in to getting it done had a huge run round w/ my insurance trying to find a doctor who will do it. I was finally able to find one and they told me i needed 5yrs of wt documentation sooo i put it off for a few yrs. Well when i finally got serious bout doing it again this doctors office would give me the run around and would never help me w/ finding out the right info or they would simply never return my phone calls. That made me more discouraged than ever, so than i was able to find another doc who would take my insurance was thrilled w/ it and excited that i was getting this going again. I went through all of the program requirements that i needed to for my insurance, and when i mean i did it all i did, the last part was trying to get the prior auth from my ins to see the surgeon...well i got the run around w/ that for about a month the docs office saying yeah yeah we r contracted w/ them and than my ins saying no we are no longer contracted w/ them. But thankfully my PCP docs office was pushy enough to finally make the ins give her the name of the doc they are contracted w/ but mind you its w/a  doc who does nothing but the lap band and i had my mind made up i wasn't gonna do it i was gonna get the bypass because of all the horror stories iv heard. But once i got his website and i fully investigated the doc i new the lap band was a far more better choice for me than the bby-pass. & from that day on i have been pleased w/ doctor terry Simpson's office staff. Greg has kept all of his promises he made bout keeping me in the loop as to what was going on w/ my ins auth. A little over a week after submitting my info to the ins Greg called me first thing this morning Oct.11,2010 to let me know i was approved. and he was scheduling surgery for the 26Th of Oct 2010. I am both excited and very nervous bout this but i know I'm in good hands. So no my journey to find a more healthy me is just begging and i am looking forward to my new healthy life w/ my little girl and my nephew is like my son. I am a very strong believe in everything happens for a reason and the full run around i was getting from the other doctors offices have pointed me in a new direction and w/ the most wonderful and caring staff at Dr.Simpson's Office thank you so very much. i will keep you posted w/ new details as they come along.
