Today I did all my things for pre-op.  They went over my diet after the surgery and what to expect.  When I read thru all the consent forms and read the part about taking part of your stomach and it being irreversable, I just stopped and read it again.  I have been so excited and counting the days, then today I have the fleeting second of doubt.  Then I remember what one fellow sleever on this site said "it's suppose to be permanent.  We don't want the weight back."  Then i was fine.  I signed and said let's go!  Did all the hospital stuff, and had my consultation with the anethesoligist.  I have something called a "bundle" and I forgot to tell him as he is looking over my ekg.  He said "this is not the best ekg I've seen".  Then I remembered what the cardiologist told me .. that I will always have to explain this but I am fine to do any surgeries.  I have to get that report done by the cardiologist a few months ago and get it to the hospital before they will do surgery.  No prob, I'll get them whatever they want!  I shopped for all my liquid diet things and found myself reading labels and watching sugars, protein, carbs etc.  First time in probably 20 years have I done that.  It felt good.  I continued to watch the women in the store, looking at their sizes and wondering just how small I will get when this is all said and done.  Then i wondered will I continue to do that my whole life.  Hopefully when I am small, i'll just be enjoying life and not worrying about others.  One week from today will be my new life beginning. 

May 27, 2008 is the date I'm attending the Lap Band Proceedure Seminar.  I'm just ready to have the surgery!!!  I'm WAISTing skinny time!!!
