Hi there! Just a quick note to let you all know I am doing just fine,(knock on wood), and am now hobbling with a cane, and going shopping, and driving! God is GOOD! Let's hope it holds now for a while! We're all set for Blessed Christmas, here, and enjoying our grandchildren. In fact, Michael's daughter just had a little guy several days ago! So we have SO much to be thankful for, and to celebrate this Holiday season! Happy Holidays to all of you!

Hi guys! I just wanted you to know I'm getting stronger everyday, my incision from where they cleaned all of the infection they could get, out, has healed, finally! HOORAY! No more nurse everyday! We have 3 weeks of the anibiotics 24/7 and then, hopefully I'll be able to get rid of the pic lines, and this heavy bag! What an experience this has been! Michael and I go in Dec. to see the Neurologist for him, finally! Thank you ALL for all of your prayers, and good thoughts! They sure help!!! what a wonderful family you are!

Hello! Just a quick update. My new hip became infected, I almost died, and now carry around an intravenous antibiotic bag, and have a port in my arm, 24 hrs. a day! We go to the clinic 3 times a week, for more juice, and tomorow, we go so I can have another port put in, as they can't get blood out of this one. So...hopefully, and with a LOT of prayers, I'll be able to get off this crap, and go on antibiotic pills for the rest of my life. What fun! I'm very weak, but wanted to update. Later! Michael, and my son, are angels! Also, my Laryssa!

Hi gang, just thought I'd update a little. I had my other hip replacement on 8-30, and just got home yesterday. I'm SO glad it is all overwith! No MORE! hahha Michael did very well, and I will say no more, than I'm very glad to be back home, and on the mend! You all take care!!!

Well, hello! Have a few new things going on in our lives. This will be short, though. Let's see, we had to get rid of our pretty red jeep, it was costing us too much money, and the tranny was getting ready to go, so we got a Kia Sportage, and just love it! It's easy for me to get into, and we got a terific deal! So, also, I am having my other hip replaced on Aug. 30th at 1:00pm. So, we're slowly crossing things off our list. The BEST thing is Joey was 8 months on the 11th, and has his first tooth, and is crawling! He is such a little doll! I also am at 168lbs now, and not worrying about the other 18, as my doctor wanted me to get to 160 as my goal! So, you all take care, and be happy!!!

Hi guys! Have some bad news, but have to tell it, just so you'llall send up some prayers. My DH, Michael has ben dignosed with a weird kind of dementia, he's had progressing slowly his whole life. I noticed a BIG difference in his personality 11 yrs ago, but could never get him to a doctor. I was working 12 hr days, 6 days a week, and just didn't push him as hard as I could have, however there is no cure, so he needs prayers. I started with all of my illnesses then, and that all took over our lives totally! I finally got him to go. So...that's my news.Now I will step up my other hip surgery, so I can heal, as I don't know what all will be happening. There are SO many people who need prayer on the board it is amazing. My sweet Cher, and wonderful Frances Spencer, and so many more.We still haven't heard from Lili! I'm going to have to call her. Didn't want to bother her just home from the hospital, but I'm worried now!
On a lighter note, I've lost like 4 lbs, since I posted last, but it's fine with me. I have like 23 to goal, and it can take 5 yrs. if it wants! I'm happy where I am, so we'll just take it day by day, like everything else. Hope all is going well for all of you, and thank you for your prayers.

Hi guys! Well, just thought I'd drop a line, and let you know how excitingmy life is getting! lol Really! I am now 177lbs., TADA! The rest, will just come off, when it comes off! ha That's - 113lbs! Not bad for an old lady! I went to see my ortho-surgeon today, and he said I'm doing very well, and wants me to wallk more! I'm working on it! It would be fine, if I didn't hurt everywhere, other than my hip! ha Go back in 6 weeks, and he wants x-rays of BOTH hips, so he can see if it's time to do the other yet. I can tell him NO! ha Well, I went to Indiana, and Michigan over last week-end, and it was fantastic! Went with my son, his wife, and my sweet"Joey!" Stayed with an aunt, beautiful new home, and she's 81yrs old! Saw my dear mother, poor thing, didn't really know any of us. She looks real good. Went to a lot of old haunts, and had a blast. Michael stayed hom, as he hasn't felt up to par. He goes to the doctor next Friday. So.., I guess that's about it, you all have a glorious Holiday week-end, and remember all of our service people. Now, and past!

Hi guys! Just thought I'd report, I went to the doctor Tues., and I'm doing great. I go back in a month, and MAY be able to walk with a cane! I can't feature that, but you never know!
I also used the step my son made for me, and went to the doctor in our jeep! The first time in four years, I haven't gone in one of those awful vans, in my wheelchair! We even went for a ride! It was fantastic! So, that's my news, and I hope all of you have a Happy, Blessed Easter!

Hi again! Wow, I told you those clothes were big on me! lol Got my new-old picture up! It's already like 2 months old. I just HAVE to get some new clothes! ha Well, go to the doctor today. My incision is still draining not as bad, but still a pain, and I doubt he'll take the staples out yet. Have to take my wheelchair, and a van again, as it's too ice for me to risk walking. This too, shall pass.. Right? I FINALLY slept in my bed last night, and feel SO much better! I was really read to fall apart, with no sleep since I came home 4 days ago! ha So will talk later, you all take care!

Good Morning! Well, this is Monday, and I came home from the hospital Sat., and wow, what a trip that hip surgery was! Unbelieveable! The day before I came home, a little piece of the scab came off, and a geyser of old blood from the surgery started coming out. It is still doing that, and it is a total mess! I'm sitting on plastic, in my recliner, and my DH has to keep changing the dressing. I'm sleeping in my chair, as I can't lay totally flat yet. So, we're having a blast! lol It will be worth it in the long run, but I wish it would hurry! ha So...I hit my one year BANDIVERSARY in the hospital, and ALSO, hit my GOAL!!! So, we got there, day by day! I just was totally overwhelmed by all of the love, and caring from ALL of my friends on the board! I recieved SO many cards, and gifts, and plants, and phone calls, I was constantly crying, and my nurses kept thinking there was terrible pain, or something! haha Of course, there was! lol Well, anyway, I'm home, and we're going from there! I am SO very blessed with all of you, and especially my Angel, Laryssa, whom I love as my own loving daughter, and Grace, whom is so deep in my heart, she'll ALWAYS be there! There are so many, I can't possibly name them all. Lin, and Michelle, and Kim, and Dianna, and Keith, and Heather, I just can't name all of you! Pam, you ole' Sweetheart! So, I guess that's all for now, it's only 4:00am, but just couldn't sleep anymore in this chair! ha Will keep you updated. Take good care! Oh yea, I had over 100 mails waiting for me, and that wasn't counting the ads! Hope I answered all of you! Thank you from the bottom of my heart!
