Going on 3 years

I have been working on getting approved for surgery going on 3 years.  I have had three different insurance companies and now finally have approval to "participate in the severe obesity program and preparation process for bariatric surgery".  I have a long way to go to actual surgery.  I have 8 weeks of classes and several other steps to go through.  I am trying not to let my fear get in the way.  This is the farthest I have gotten in the process so I am looking at it as a blessing and know that I WILL HAVE SURGERY.  I love the approach that Kaiser takes in this process.  They want to make sure that I have made lifestyle changes and behavioral changes BEFORE I have surgery. 

What is hard is that I still weigh 357.  My knees are killing me and my diabetes is getting worse.  I am so tired most days and just want to get some of this weight off so I can walk and exercise.  I know I feel better when I do.
