absorption of narcotics after DS

Hello, I've recently had a very painful foot surgery, and the podiatrist sem to think that my pain with the narcotic pain pills should be better. Just dawned on me, with my DS is it possible that the narcotics are leaving my body too quickly or aren't being totally absorbed?
