Nutritionist Appointment

Apr 23, 2011

Well, I made it through the nutritionist appointment, wasn't too bad.

My current weight is 249, and I have to lose 12 pounds (5% of my body weight) before surgery. Also have to be 6 weeks smoke free before they will schedule, so when I see my PCP on Tuesday I'm going to ask her if she will prescribe me Chantix to help. I've gone from 2 packs a day down to less than 1/2 a pack a day on my own, but I've been stuck at that point for 2 years now... just need an extra push to get me over that hurdle.

I also got all the paperwork for the tests I have to have done - EKG, chest x-ray, abdominal US, etc. I had a sleep study done in '05, so if I can get those results I won't have to have another one. If I can't hunt them down at the hospital or with my prior doctor, I do have to have it. That's my job on Monday - hunting those results down. I know I don't have sleep apnea, but they don't. :) Also have to have an endoscopy done. I hate those stupid things. Had one when I was diagnosed with GERD, and it's not a good feeling afterwards. I don't remember the actual procedure because I was sedatated, and then slept all the next day too. LOL Hope this one does that same thing. :P

All in all, a good appointment. *smile*
