This feels soooo slow - Monday was the end of week 8 after surgery - I have lost btw 25-30 lbs.  I am actually going to stop by Dr. G's office tommorrow to weigh myself 'cause my scale is a piece of junk.  I know everyone is different but does it sound to y'all that I am on target?  I am driving myself and a few others crazy so it would probably be good to know.  xo karen  btw have fun on Sunday in NYC, I was already having company but it did sound likje fun.

Okay - this is day 8 of my liquid diet - i'm visualizing my liver the size of a walnut - lol.  Cats are still not hiding from me so I am probably still pretty serene.  I am so blessed.  Everything has gone so smoothly for me.  I think it's because someone was always there for a little hand holding or an answer.  Thank you all so much.  Currently I am vacuforming my windows 'cause my house is so darn cold.  Still a bit of laundry to do - but really whatever doesn't get done - doesn't get done.  I keep thinking about the woman, her name is Lynn that was at my pre surg/nut visit Fri and once again cannot believe how lucky I am.  She and I were the only ones there out of 9 that was having the DS.  (I would have run screaming if I had to follow the RNY regimen) but this woman had no real info.  She has not attended the WLS group regularly, I don't know if it was her coice or not.  Was going strictly by what was in the manual.  Hadn't been online for any research.  I'm not sure how she even made the decision.  I made sure she knew how to find us and I hope she will come to the next group so we can take her in.  My daughter Liz will send and update once I am out of surgery.  When I get to the DarkSide, I don't really want a cookie - but could I haz sum bacons pleez :)

I'm so aggravated. I am waiting for my precert to go thru and Jamie
keeps dropping the ball. And she does not return calls. She should
have called me sometime last week - we had spoken the previous Friday
after waiting for 7 days for a return call(and I called her that time
too). there was a problem with the way she had submitted to my
insurance. So Friday after calling the ins co and finding out they had
called her to advise they recieved her req for auth but no paperwork
but she had not gotten back to them I called her again. 3 times Friday
but no return call. I got a letter from ins co this Saturday advising
the same thing great that they are req auth for surgery but they would
like to have some documentation. Like everything I did with my summer
vacation! Sorry I am ranting, but she is a PIA. So, since I live
about 5 blocks from the WL Center I think I will stop in Monday morning with my letter to bring this to her attention.  At this point I see no reason to call, either she does not listen to her messages or she does not respond.

Okay - where's the chat room?  I saw it mentioned on the forum, I've never been to one.   I am so frustrated with the office.  Waiting, waiting for pre cert which they fouled up the first time 'cause they did not get Dr. G registered quickly NOW they seem to be just sitting on it.  Spoke with the insurance company and they are waiting for ppwk since 10/7.  AAAH...left Jamie 3 messages on Friday, predictably I did not get a call back(maybe she was working on my ppwk) I will call again on monday.  Just want date!! Okay, I feel better :)

Well, everything is done except for the sleep study and meeting with the dietician.  Everything should be on my chart by the time I meet Dr. G on 8/8.  I met a delightful woman by the name of Phyllis at the lab, she is seeing Dr. B. as well.  I'm looking forward to the support group on Tuesday.

I spent the evening finishing up my profile and filling out paperwork, I could have cleaned, but I didn't.  I re-read my insurance coverage and I think that I may qualify for the three month "multidiciplinary behavioral program". I am so blessed that it appears, if I am approved, that my insurance will cover this.  I am going to include anyone with financial concerns in my prayers tonite. 

Whoops - my daughter informed me that I had to use punctuation. No dashes, etc.  So, I went to New York today, Lord are my feet and legs tired.  I did get my excercize in though.  I can't wait until walking is something that I don't have to prepare myself for.  Really, I had a good time but I was apprehensive about the show, it was at the Jacob Javits Center and the place is huge.  We really did have a good time 'tho.

well, now i'm a bit afraid - i'm just getting started on this site and i just read a post about a woman that was not approved - i hope she fights for what she wants - i am afraid that my med hx will not bear up - i fought getting on the scale for years so i'm not sure when i actually let them record my weight and my doctor was not one to say anything - i sincerely doubt he made any notes that i was a "bit" on the unhealthy weight side - oh i'm sick of this - i willl nto worry about something that has not yet come to pass - i have an appt with a sleep clinic - am i supposed to hope i have sleep apnea so i have a co-morbidity(new word) i have arthritis and that is documented and i have been seeing the doctor for years for that - well i guess we will just have to see - i have my appt with the intake nurse 7/2 - just before independence day - oops - gtg to work.
