My original surgeon was Dr Robert E Brolin, but he is out of network now and will not accept my HMO, AETNA (FEHB). I had an endoscopy done and they found that I have an opening from my new stomach into my old stomach. I also have an atrial fibrilation and will need to be put on cumadin. I had further tests and didn't need the cumadin. I had my revision on 01-21-05 with Dr Raper at HUP in Philly. He transected my stomach and made the pouch about the size of a shot glass-1 1/2 oz. I have been losing slowly because of poor eating habits and little exercise. Meals are fine but I snack and still eat carbs. I took the online course from MasteringFood.com and I do recommend it. I still have to work on my emotional eating but I've narrowed down my problem areas. I am bipolar and feel I need to change my meds.
