I was just informed by BCBS AL that a letter went to my surgeons office on Wednesday! I am approved! Now I get to have a "date"!!!!

Well, my journey started about 5 years ago. I tried to get approval thru past insurance that I had with my employer. It didn't work...(BCBS of Missouri). There was an exclusions policy and it would/could not be lifted! Fast forward to December 2010. Our insurance was changing!!! BCBS of Alabama! And they covered WLS!!!! Woohoo!! I was told this last October! So, I started my 6 month diet program with my physician as required by BCBS Alabama!
I've done all my 6 visits. But one problem..I did a December, January, February, March, April, and June visit. We were really busy and I couldn't take off work for a May visit. This is my only problem!
I've also done sleep study, dietician visit, nurse visit, and psych visit. All, everything done. My WLS advocate said that they would submit all and "see" what happens. Hopefully I will not have to do another 6 month diet supervision with my PCP! Just in case....I did one in October, and have November and December appointments already scheduled.
I wanted the sleeve, but I have changed my mind to the Lap RNY!
Please pray! I am so tired of all this extra baggage.
