"Dr. Medick was very well versed in WLS and was very positive and encouraging in his counseling. I came away with a better understanding of my inability to lose weight and the reasons for it."
"I met Dr. Pesta early this year when I attended a support meeting for the LivLite program in Warren. He was very nice and personable, seemed to really care about his patients. I've heard this from others also. I saw him for a pre-surgical consultation in March due to a mistaken identity. It wasn't I who was approved for surgery, but someone else with a name similar to mine. He was very detailed about what I could expect after surgery, I feel very confident about him as my surgeon. I'll write more after the surgical experience.
I have to add, there were some scheduling problems as my day approaches and my date was changed to the 21st and I would be the 3rd case that day. I was really upset and let Shellie at both Liv-lite and at Dr. Pesta's office know how upset I was. I was blown away when I received a phone call later in the day from Dr. Pesta himself letting me know that they were able to move things around so that I would have my surgery on the 20th as originally planned and that I would be the 1st case of the day. I can't tell you how much this mean't to me. I'd heard good things about Dr. Pesta, but this is just over and above anything I could have expected. I was already confident of his abilities, and now even moreso. Who could ask for a better doc?"
"It would have been great if their bariatric unit had been open, but it had not yet been inspected by the fire marshall. Some of the nurses didn't seem to be very knowledgable at all in regards to bariatric patients. The nurses station was very noisy at night, my daughter was not allowed to stay with me past visiting hours. The accomodations and care could have been better."
