So, been a while since I've hopped on here. Life is busy. I'm engaged to be married, date set for October 24th of this year. Yay! I also need to get some pics on here! I'm below goal at 99 pounds lost, so I'm hoping to slow down the weight loss at this point. If someone would have told me a year ago that I'd be sitting here today wanting to GAIN 5 or 10 pounds, I would have punched them in the mouth!!

OK, I was gonna wait until I hit my goal until I bought new clothes. Yeah, right! I got tired of people telling me that it looked like a family had moved out of the ass of my pants, so I went shopping this weekend. I bought size 12's!! The crazy thing is, I've got 35 pounds to go. I can't even imagine what size I'll be then....this is wicked awesome!!

I had an unusual experience this weekend. I didn't even realize what was happening until it was all over and done with. I actually got flirted with by a member of the opposite sex. I was clueless. For a minute I thought the guy was just being a jackass, trying to put his items in with mine at the checkout at the grocery store. I pointed this out to him, remember I was clueless, and he says, "Oh, I know. I'll just let you get it and then I'll follow you home and pick it up." He was really cute, and I wondered why he was being so creepy, then halfway home (w/o his items, I might add) it hit me. Holy crap! He was totally flirting with me and it's been so long I didn't recognize the gesture!! Maybe I'll shop  there more often.

My mom and I are getting ready for our annual yard sale and she tells me I need to go through all my "fat" clothes. I told her she was crazy, I didn't think I was small enough yet to get into my old stuff that's been in the back of the closet for close to 7 years. Man, was I wrong!!
I was getting into my size 14's, some of them with room to spare, and a few size 12's!!  I'm getting rid of all my clothes with an "X" in the size!
I didn't think I'd ever see the day. Yay me!

Today is my 6 week post-op visit with Dr. Keith. I know I'm gonna leave there with half my butt gone, cause I know I'm not getting all my protein in. Why doesn't somebody come up with a protein pill? or a shot? I'd be willing to give myself a shot everyday. 
Anyway, things are great here otherwise. Just got moved into a house that's 2 blocks away from my daughter's school! Yay, no more driving 30 minutes to get her there. I'm getting a fresh start and things are looking up!

Today is a red-letter day for me!  I graduate to soft food today and I plan on having real, honest-to-goodness food.  Not mashed, or blended, or chopped, or pureed, but a piece of fish like a normal person!  Granted, I'll take two bites and be full, but I get to have it anyway!  By the way, 26 pounds down!!!  I had to order new scrubs already, because the ones I have are hanging on me.  Good times!

Well, I'm 3 weeks out and about 24 pounds down.  I would do it all over again in a minute, no regrets!  I went back to work after only 10 days off, but I have a desk job.  I wouldn't recommend it.  Looking back, I should have taken the other 4 days, just so I could get over some of the muscle soreness before I had to sit in a chair for 8 hours straight.  But, overall, I think I've done fabulously and I can't wait to see what happens next!
