I had my cardiac eval yesterday.  Everyone here was so nice.  And they did not call my insurance co. to see if I had met my deductible yet.....Thank God.  As of now my bill is $1,322.00 I only had to pay my copay of $70.00.  I will pay the rest when the bill comes to me, after they submit to my ins.  My ekg and echo looked good.  Now I have to have the stress test done.  It will be tomorrow morning.  He wrote me a prescription for a bp med.  My bp was high.  I think some of it was due to my nerves.  I was so afraid that they would want to charge me all of the $ up front.  I also had an upset stomach.  This happens before all of my apts.  I don't know why I get so nervous.  But....I am getting closer!!!!!

I have just got back from my pulminary eval.  Everything went great.  So, I have done my endoscopy, pulminary, & psych evals.  I have passed all three.  My cardiology with the new dr was scheduled for today, but they had to change it for tomorrow.  Oh well, what is one day more.  I will be through with everything except the nutrition apt.  That is scheduled for May 23.  I am so excited and nervous. 

I think I am ok.  I called southern surgical and they could not beleive that this cardiologist was charging me $2500 up front.  They let me choose another cardiologist to get my clearance.  I can't remember ever being so heart broken.  Now I am happy again.

I am so sad.  Yesterday at my cardiac apt, they told me that I haven't met my deductible.  And the stress test is $3000.  They said I have to meet my deductible before they can see me.  Hello..... my deductible is $2,500.00  They want this $ by next Wednesday.  They said they can't see me until I pay it.  I asked them to work with me on payments, but they said they have been stuck so much they can't.  I dont know what is going to happen.  I know I don't have that $ and it will take me a few months to get it.

I went last Thursday for my endoscopy.  They found some gastritis.  They took 2 biopsies.  I should hear back from that in 7 days.  My throat wasn't sore until Sat.  Everyone was so nice to me.  I hope everything comes back ok.  I think they are checking for some kind of bacteria. 

The surgeon's office faxed me the paper with all of the appointments.  I have all of my appointments scheduled.  The latest is the May 23rd, the nutrition consult.  So, I should be on my way by the end of May. 

I called the surgeon's office yesterday, to ask if there are any other appointments that I should be making.  She asked if I had received the letter from her with what I need checked off.  I haven't received it.  She told me she sent it last Thursday.  She told me to wait until the end of the week to see if it comes.  Why doesn't the junk mail or bills get lost or held up.  It seems like when I am anxiously waiting for something in the mail, it always gets lost or takes a really long time to get here.  Well, anyway, I just called her again to see if she would fax me the copy of the letter.  I want to get everything scheduled.  I don't want to wait.  I hope I don't get on her nerves by calling her again.  But, it is so important to me.

I got a letter today with the date of my nutrition apt.  It is May 23.  That is a long time to wait.  I was hoping that it would be in April.  I guess I need to be happy that I already have it scheduled. 

I just got a call to schedule my endoscopy!  It is for April 5.  I am so happy.  Things are moving now.  I never thought it would ever get rolling.  YAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Yesterday, I went to the patient education class.  I learned alot, but thanks to all of the info I get from here, I already knew alot.  I am so excited.  Now I have to wait to get my apts for all the test/evals.  & Guess what, I thought my insurance was one of the worst...... it is really good.  Some of the others ask for 6 mos.  of weight loss & fitness program.  The nurse also said that w/BCBS they can usually get approval the same day, with the others it can take weeks.  I am so excited!!!!!!!
