Greetings Everyone . . . I have "GREAT NEWS"!!!!! As Donna's angel, it is my pleasure, honor and duty to report that Donna has joined us on the "lighter side" as of yesterday May 21st 2002. Everything has happened soooo very fast and I know she looks forward to updating you all on the logistics once she is home and feeling better. I just wanted to share with the community that after a disappointing cancellation of her original May 3rd date, she's had a SUCCESSFUL surgery and her husband informs me that she is doing very well :) She should be home tomorrow. We made it Donna!!! May God continue to hold you in his loving arms and bless you. Lynn

Donna, I am so sorry to hear of your surgery cancellation. I know it has to be discouraging, but hang in there. It will happen. I will be praying that you get a quick date. Good Luck. Jeanie

Hi Donna, I have surgery in 10 days, and I totally undersstand how you must feel. It's like you've been waiting your whole life for a way to be a healthy weight, and you are sooooo close, and bam! It's pulled away from you like a carrot on a stick. This too will pass, and I'm sure he'll get you back in there soon. Everything DOES happen for a reason. I will be sending thoughts your way. Hello everyone, Just wanted to let you know that my surgery was cancelled. It turns out I have a urinary tract infection. I had my preop done at the hosp on Monday april 29th. The Dr. who cleared me said everything was a go. I asked to please check on my labs as the hosp. said they would put "stat" on them and have them faxed to him for my appt. Well I got a call the night before surg at 8pm telling me of the infection. They called in an rx and siad this should last you till friday surg. day. I asked them if I could still have surg and they said we dont see why not. Well I called Garbers office the next moring and had to wait till 4pm to find out if he would do the surg. He was in the OR all day. Lisa called me at 4pm and said Garber would not do me with an infection. Now they are in the process of rescheduling me and I dont know when it wil be. I cant tell you how I feel. I am so upset, angry, and have been crying for 2 days now. I know and I am glad Garber takes these precautions this was no ones fault. But to get to this point and have if cancelled so late in the day was just awful. I live in Pa and had a 3 hr. drive to NY. I know things happen for a reason. I pray and pray for a short wait for another surg. Just thought I would share this with you my dear friends. Please keep me in your prayers and thoughts. I just dont know how I am going to get thru the next waiting period. But I know I have to.
