A Little Down The Road
Jan 27, 2007
Well here I am about 2 1/2 weeks post surgery and down about 30 lbs. What a miracle. Thank you Jesus. It has been hard and easy all at once. Easy because I really can't eat to much, but difficult because head hunger is real. I am doing exactly what my doctor has ordered, but boy do some foods look good. My biggest missed item is my morning coffee. I am limited to 1/2 cup per day. Food is not a big deal and I have finally found some pretein drinks and supplements that I like. The best thing I have done for my self is become involved in a support group at my church. We are celebrating recovery thruough Jesus Christ. Well that is about it for now. Keep praying.
Tomorrow - Tomorrow - There's always Tomorrow
Jan 07, 2007
My big day is tomorrow. For some reason the theme song from Annie keeps running through my head - "Tomorrow, tomorrow, there's always tomorrow, tomorrow's a day a way. " My approach to diets have always been "tomorrow" and finally my tomorrow has arrived. I am nervous, petrified, excited, emotional, but most of all ready. My last hurdle has been crossed - I told my inlaws of my plans. Did it in an email, very cowardly of me, but I did not want to deal with the emotions of this anymore. I can only hope they will be supportive in the long run. My mother-in-law is a strong willed person who managed to loose 65 lbs with Weight Watchers. It took her 3 years and although I applaud that she did it, I don't want to wait that long to feel better. We are different people and I have to do what is best for me. Well that is all for now. I will return after surgery and tell you what I am feeling.
