one month out

Well I made it through my first month, and so far everything is going great,
I have lost 38 lbs since surgery and 8.25 Inches, so i guess I am doing good,
I had fish the other night . We went out to eat and it was real good, so I am getting to eat other foods which is nice,
Now if is could get my knee to quit hurting so bad, I need to start some kind of excerice progam , I am going to get a corazone shot in it Monday, so maybe that will help some,

I made it through Thanksgiving and did real good stayed to my plan and only ate 1/4 cup of yams and little SF jello,
The weight is still coming off but not as fast as I would like, but hey I lost 37 lbs since surgery , I just need to get this knee to stop hurting so much so that I can walk more which is what I need to be doing,
I started with the bands again today , and I am walking around my house as much as I can, Too cold out side to walk,
anyway thing are going good for me no problems at all so far, I get to start eatting phase two Friday and I am looking forward to that,
The weight is still coming off but not as fast as I would like, but hey I lost 37 lbs since surgery , I just need to get this knee to stop hurting so much so that I can walk more which is what I need to be doing,

Had my dr visit today and lost 19 lbs since surgery, everything is going good so far, I do have a little bit of redness around one of my incisions so dr put me on some meds to help clear it up,
I can now eat beans, and I sure am happy about that, ,
Yesterday I made egg salad, that was good but not too good to me, I dumped it about 1/2 hr after I ate it, Jean the nurse today said it has to much fat,and that is why I got sick from it, so no more of that for me,

Well it has been a good week so far no problems other then the poops, but that will get better with time and when I can eat real food, which I am starting this week,
Still having some pain in the left side, the upper incision and it stil is swollen. I am only taking my pain meds at night, just to take the edge off so that I can sleep.
I am walking some in the house, too cold out side here, drinking my water, but dont think I am getting enough, getting my protien in and three meal.
so I think I am doing good so far,
next week I have my firt dr, appt, and weight in , can't wait to see if I lost any weight , after all the IV fluid that the hospital gave me, I came home weighting more then when I went their,

Last Night was a night from Hell,
this shit just wont stop coming out of me
, OMG it was bad, and then my knee hurts so bad I have to us the walker now, them pain meds only take to edge off, I hurt so bad, Wish I could get this knee fixed and be able to have my surgery at the same time, cant I get a 2 for 1 .

Well I have only one more full day before surgery, I can't wait,
tomorrow all my grands are coming over , we are doing our Halloween since I will be in the Hospital on Halloween,
but that is ok next year I can dress up
an go out with them, that will be fun,
The liquids are ok I think the protien drinks help alot, but sure wish I could stay out of the bathroom, gee there should not have anything left in me to poo out, but it just keeps coming, I guess I am really full of Shit
I just can't get over how calm I am I dont have a worry in the world,Maybe that is a good sign, well until next time,

I talked to dr. leo the cardio last night and he said that my heart does have a small defect but nothing that would stop me from have my surgery so it is a go

Not good news,, The Anesthesiologist does not like the report the Heart dr. did not my stress test, I dont, know, but I guess sometime in my life I had a heart Attack I have scaring in my heart and When I was going to have my scope done today they could not get a IV started they tryed 6Xs So when I have the surgery they are going to start a Centeral line in the OR.
not going to be fun at all, So I have to call Corrine tomorrow and see what is going on with my surgery, but still have to stay on clear liquids until tomorrow or until surgery date on the 30 th

Ok Here we go, I got my date Oct.30,2007 But am alittle unsure yet, as I have not been off my meds for two weeks, I am going to see the Dr. this morning and doing my pre op testing and will talk to her about it then so my date may change until nov. 5 which is ok too,

update on my surgery

well I got all my papers over to Dr. McClellans yesterday from the Heart Dr. and because of something he said in my report about having mildly enlarged left ventricle with ejection fraction of 52 %, what ever that means,
Dr. McClellan wants the anesthesiology to look over the papers first to see if he wants more testing, Talking to Corrine this morning they are trying to get me in to surgery on Oct, 30 that is only one week away and I still have to go on my liquids and have my Upper Endoscopy and go off my meds, which I should be off two weeks before surgery, so I am not to sure about having it done so soon as the 30th, I might tell them to wait until nov, 5 which is a week later, anyway that is what is going on now,
