Huntington Memorial Hospital (COE)

"Overall the hospital was excellent. I did have better care with the night shift staff as opposed to the day shift, but the overall care was still better than I could have hoped for."

David Lourie

"I was refered to Dr. Lourie by a friend of mine that had WLS a year ago. She seemed to have recieved excellent care while under his supervision. I first met Dr. Louire at the WLS symposium held at Huntigton Hospital in Pasadena in June 2004. In my opinion he seemed to be a very capable, competant, and professional surgeon. During his lecture he presented both the positives and the negatives of WLS. It seems some doctors only want to give the side they are supporting. So far Dr. Lourie has proved to be every bit as good as my friend had said he was. To me his bedside manner seems short, but he is very polite and to the point, and he really gives the impression that he wants do the best for you. He does seem do be fairly srtict about his after care instructions and diet, but I'm sure that's just because he wants the very best chance of success with the surgery."
