I am 5 months postop as of July 4th, i went form a size 26/28 and today i bought size 16....YES 16!!!!
All i can say is wow....what a wild ride this has been, i am thankful everyday for my RNY, although it has been tough at times it has been my saving grace also, now at 5 months post op i am losing hair like a dog sheds his winter coat, but this to shall pass.i would rather be bald and thin than fat and and miserable.
My hisband has been an absolute Angel, without himi never could of done this.

Well i have to say this has been a wild ride. I am 5 weeks post-op and im down 32 lbs. ,,,im down 60lbs. since i first seen the surgeon in August., i have had a horrible time getting in the protein and all my fluids, each day is better and with time i know it will be fine. I have had buyers remorse Alot!...but this to shall pass.I can see the difference and literally haveno clothes that fit,YEAAAAAAAAAAAA....i thank God everyday for this.

WELL I AM 26 DAYS AND COUNTING, I AM SO EXCITIED AND NERVOUS AT THE SAME TIME. I AM JUST TRYING TO GET THINGS READY FOR WHEN I COME HOME AND WHAT I CAN EAT,,,,,SCARES ME.....BUT I WILL DO IT,I GOT THIS FAR AND NOW IM GONNA DO IT!!!!!!!!!

Well i was finally approved for surgery , my date is Feb.4th, i think i have told the whole world...lol....im hoping the time will go by fast,when they called and said i was approved i started crying and girl asked me what was wrong i said to her i was crying for JOY!.....It was the best Christmas gift i could ever have.

THIS HAS BEEN A LONG JOURNEY FOR ME,I HAVE TRIED FOR 3 YEARS TO HAVE THIS SURGERY WITH EVERY ROAD BLOCK POSSIBLE,I HAVE BEEN OVERWEIGHT ALL MY LIFE, AND NOW THAT I HAVE GOTTEN A LITTLE OLDER I HAVE ALL THESE THAT ARE POPPING UP HEALTH WISE.I THOUGHT MAYBE I WOULD HAVE TO DIE FIRST TO GET THEM TO SEE THAT I REALLY NEED THIS SURGERY. I HAVE A LIST OF CO-MORBIDITIES, AFTER MANY YEARS OF CHRONIC BACK PAIN THEY FIGURED OUT I HAVE A BONE DISEASE, DUH!....WASNT JUST THE FAT CAUSING THE PAIN. SOOOOOOO, I FINALLY GOT MY REFERRAL FOR WED. AUG. 27TH TO SEE THE SURGEON, AT SOUTH BAY SURGEONS CENTER.SO I WILL KEEP MY POST GOING....
