I am a 42 year old divorced mother of two beautiful young ladies and soon to be 1st time grandmother. That is the main reason I have decided to finally have surgery. I want to be healthy so I will be around to see my children and grandchild grow up. I have been heavy most of my life. I have tried just about every diet out there, including optifast! I have had high blood pressure and high cholesterol for quite a few years now. I also found out a few years ago, I have sleep apnea also. SO, I have decided to finally, hopefully have surgery. I was going to go with the band, but I am afraid my body would reject it or it would slip. I never wanted to have the gastric bypass, because I didn't want to have everything re routed. So when Dr. Pirrello talked about the sleeve, I decided to go with that.
So, i talked to the doctor's office Monday and she said she thinks she has everything she needs to submit it for insurance approval. So please pray and cross your fingers, it is approved. If it is, I will probably be having the surgery in late January. I am excited and scared all at the same time.
