Nirmal Jayaseelan

"Dr. Jayaseelan has been really nice. Although he does so many of these surgeries you definately feel like a number. He does not take much time to discuss issues and such. In and out thank you very much. rnrnHe used to have a wonderful nurse (Arlene) that took the time to discuss things with you and listen to your stories and give advice. She was banded and lost 200 pounds - so she definately understood where you are coming from. Unfortunately she left to go to medical school. He is looking for someone like her in the interim. Meanwhile the rest of his staff is OK. Not as supportive as I would like them to be. I had to go outside his office to get the mental and physical support I needed. rnrnI will say though in his defense that the surgery went off without a hitch and he really knows his stuff as far as being an excellent surgeon. HIGHLY RECOMENDED. I don't necessarily want my surgeon to have the answers to my mental issues - I want him to be the best damn surgeon to have is hands on me in the operating room.rnrnFor my head I found Merlene Phillips - Part of the Psy-med team. She is fantastic and has REALLY helped me. She is not an MD, but is a Nutrition expert and fitness advisor. Without her I don't think that I could be as succesful as I am. "
