44 lbs Gone.. 40% toward my Goal..

Feb 06, 2010

I've lost 44 lbs so far.   I love looking at the before and after pictures.  You people are looking so good!!  I can't get over how small people are in those pictures.  I can't imagine myself getting into a size 5 and then I see a lot of people that are even smaller than that.  My doctor says I can get there too.  I'm loosing very slowly but I'm loosing and I'm not starving so I'm happy.

I'm planning a trip to the beach in March for AEA week.   Last year I didn't have the energy to walk down the beach.  This year things are so different.   I was coughing all the time with my asthma.  I had this surgery because I was feeling so bad.  So far,  the surgery has been so worth it.  I am feeling well.  My energy has returned.

I joined a gym last Friday.  I walked a mile and rode the bike three miles on my lunch hour.  I didn't want to over do it since this was my first day.  I hope to go to the gym at least four times a week at lunch if things work out.  It depends on the  number of meetings I have scheduled at work.  I've been having to work a lot of hours lately and I don't see that changing until 2011.   We will see how good I am at balancing children, work and the gym.  I'm hoping the workouts will help speed up the weigh loss AND help me deal with the sagging skin problems that I'm afraid are just around the corner..  At this point I can't afford a personal trainer so I'm going to have to do some research on exercises for my arms,  thighs and waist.  I need to make the most of my limited time in the gym.  Any advice or comments in this area is greatly appreciated.  Keep in mind..  I'm 52....   not 25 like many of you.

This is Sunday and it is a good day!
