CONGRATULATIONS on your weight loss. You look wondeful in your profile.
I had my Lap RNY WLS on 3/27/03. I'm 10 months post-op and have lost 75lbs. The day of surgery I weighed in at 341lbs but my highest weight ever was 353lbs.
I'm disappointed with my slow progress but I'm so thankful that I'm losing. I could of never in life prior to surgery loose this much weight in 10 months. I do sometimes get depressed but this was happening when I would start comparing myself to other people. One of the reason why I'm so slow is because I have no restrictions at all when it comes to food. I'm able to eat everything that I was eating prior to surgery but just in smaller amounts. I do not dump on anything. I can eat sugar with no problem so this is why I switched to splenda a really good sugar substitute.
I'm now exercising 5-6 days a week. I workout 30-45 minutes every morning by doing The Walk Away the Pounds, Tae-Bo or my Richard Simmons video tapes. I'm now drinkign over 64oz of liquids and I take my vitamins every day.
I'm happy because in these last 10 months I've gone from a size 30/32 dress to a 22/24. Though I'm slow I'm going to stay on this road until I get to my destination and I believe in my heart that the Lord has not brought me this far to leave me.
I truly loved reading your profile. What do you do daily for protein and exercise to be so successful.
I visited Stacy last night and she is recovering well. She hasn't started walking yet because the catheter (sp?) is still in, but today (Wed.) she expects them to take it out. And yes, the morphine pump is her best friend! She's is getting a laugh out of her bed because it's also a scale. She's in totally amazement that she has already lost 21 lbs.
Stacy had a complication free surgery today! She is currently in the recovery room for the night and will be in her room tomorrow. I'm happy to report that she didn't encounter any problems during the surgery. Please keep her in your prayers and I will make another in depth report soon!
I just wanted to wish you luck with your surgery today! Along with a long happy healthy life! Im a pre op DS for Feb and so excited to start my new life like you are TODAY!!
Happy Re Birthday!!!
