Hi everyone.. I haven't been here in a long time.  I am almost 3 years out from my lap band surgery and i have lost about 185 pounds total.  I cannot even describe to anyone the changes in my life.  Dr. Lord saved me in every way.  I would recommend the lap band to anyone!!  It is truly a miracle.  I only regret that I waited so long to do it.  When I see these old pictures I do not even recognize the woman in them. 

but I'm back for an  update.  I just went to see Dr.Lord on Friday, I'm down 62 pounds.  He didn't do any adjustments, I actually asked him to take some fluid out of my band because I thought it was too tight.. he said NO.. that is what it is supposed to be doing.  LOL Anyway, hope everyone is doing ok and I am still very happy with my choice to have a lap band.  I am going to post some new pics.  XOXO

Hi everyone!

I went in for my 2nd fill yesterday.  I am down 44 pounds total, 2 months and 1 day since surgery.  I am really happy with everything so far, fills are easy and painless.  Back on clear liquids for 2 days, then progressively back to normal.  My first fill I really didnt feel much difference, but this one I feel a lot of tightness.  Hope to have a good weight loss this month.. I will update you guys as things progress.  Peace!

Well, I went to my first appt with Dr. since surgery.. cant believe it but I have lost 22 pounds since surgery!!  Actually I am down 29 pounds since I first went to see Dr. Lord.. couldnt be happier.  I have healed up fine, really I feel totally normal.  I can finally have full liquids and even better stage 3 next week..  this isnt nearly as bad as I thought it would be. Thanks to everyone for their positive comments! 

Hi Everyone!  

Well, I had my surgery on March 20th, last Thursday.  I was originally supposed to have my surgery on the 4th but I got the flu.. unbelieviable bad luck.. but all is good now.  

The surgery was not bad, I woke up feeling pretty bad but by the next day I was fine.  I only had to take the painkillers for 2 days after I came home, now I pretty much feel back to normal.  

I am still on the clear liquid diet with one protein shake a day.. I am not really physically hungry, but mentally sometimes I really think about food if I don't stay busy!  I can tell I have lost some weight, but I dont have a scale at my house which is probably a good thing because I would obsess.  

I will answer any questions that anyone has about the surgery.  Dr. Lord and his whole staff are awesome.  The nurses and techs at the hospital are also really great!  Nothing to fear.. It is all good.  By the way, I got the lapband.  I will give you guys an update later!  Peace!

Well, today I went in for my pre-admission apointment and meeting with Jan.  I'm nervous but very excited at the same time.  I will update and let everyone know how things are going!
