Hi! My name is Val, & I am a lifelong Tulsa resident. I graduated from NSU with a BS in Earlychildhood Education. Later, I proceeded to OSU where I got my MS in Curriculum & Instruction (Go Pokes!). 
Soon, I will be starting my 16th year of teaching for Tulsa Public Schools. Kindergarten is my bag. Every year is a completely new experience!!!!!! 
I am an animal lover with two dogs (Pearl & Birdie) & one cat (Rex Havoc). 
Interests of mine are drawing, decorating, gardening, antiquing, reading, garage sales & computers. 
I also enjoy watching TV where it is all about reality baby.......Survivor, Big Bro, American Idol, The Amazing Race, The Bachelor & Bachelorette. I know, I know, some of it (well most of it) is pretty ridiculous, but I love it. I can't help it, I am hooked!!!!!! 
Weight problems have plagued me for years. Of course, I have tried every diet on the planet. 
Two years ago, I went to Dr. Gorospe's seminar, but was too afraid to proceed past that. So many things to think about. How will I pay for this? Will I live through the surgery? What if I mess this up too? Will this be the thing that can actually help me? 
Finally, you get to a point where you have to quit thinking about it & just do it. I attended another seminar this spring & that was it. Dr. Gorospe here I come! July 1, 2008 was surgery day. 
I hope & pray that this surgery is the tool I need to change my life for the better.
