Need for Alcohol
Feb 22, 2010
2/23/10I wanted to see if anyone could shine light on an issue i've been having recently. I'm a couple years out from my gastric bypass surgery and I have the desire to drink to make myself feel better. Almost a addiction transfer, if you will. Before my surgery, food was my comfort. It would take me away from my problems and make me feel so much better. But, I can't do that anymore because I can barely eat. AND I'M SO HAPPY ABOUT THAT!!!
However, I've been in search of a new thing that I can do that can put me at ease. But, I heard that drinking frequently is not good after surgery and can cause liver problems. Can anyone shine light on this and discuss their take on drinking and what they've done to otherwise be happy when out in a social/bar setting? Thanks!
