I have been overweight my entire life. I have 4 family members who have had the surgery and I make number 5. It has taken me 2 years to get through all the red tape involved to get approved for the Gastric Bypass. My day is Monday July 27th. I've never been so happy and nervous at the same time. I have great live in support, I live with my parents who have both had the surgery 10 years ago. A lot has changed since they had it, so it's like were all still learning new things. I'm 22 years old weigh 292lbs. I also have a 3 year old son. I work full time and do school part time in the evenings, I'm working toward my Certificate in Billing and Coding. I finally just came to the point where enough is enough, not only is my weight effecting me, but my son too. What I can and CANT do with him. The results are amazing!! I'm really looking forward to starting my new healthy life.
