10-7-07-I went Oct.4th to have my gall bladder removed well while in there they found a hernia right below my belly button so Dr. Wheeler went ahead and fixed that. Currently I am very sore. I have my follow up on Oct.17th. I took my belly button patch/gauze out this morning and it really hurt a lot. I took the other 3 little patches off Friday afternoon. While getting my papers ready and updated at the hospital Thursday they weighed me. I have lost since July 26th a total of 34 pounds. I was so excited and still am. I am currently waiting still to hear from my insurance company. I have called Dr. Wheeler's office twice to see if they have heard anything and they have not yet. Well I'm going to go rest since my 16 month old daughter is sleeping. Talk to you later.
12-2-07-I just returned home yesterday from the hospital. All went well. My dr. said he could tell that I had followed the pre-op diet because he had no problem and he was very pleased. My stomach is sorer than I expected. It is very hard to get up out of bed and to walk. I walked down the hall the first night with the nurse. On Friday I had to do the test to check for leaks. NO LEAKS! The stuff I had to drink was awefull. I about gaged. It was so hot down there and everything I thought I was going to throw up. After that I got to get popsicles. The first one was the best I had ever had. It tasted to gooooood! Not big on chicken broth, jello. It just didn't settle very well. So I just stuck to popsicles and water. Today I started my protein shakes, vitamins. The vitamins were really good. It was different. I'm really not hungery. I is just hard to sip all the time. I slept pretty good. When I came home yesterday I slept for 2-3 hours. I had taken some pain pills. I stayed up and walked and all till around 2:00. Went to bed and was back up at 5:30. I'm still trying to get this protein shake down. I started on it around 8:00 and it is now 10:23. Well I'm going to go my left side is bothering me a lot but the dr. and nurses said it would be sore for 2-3 weeks. I'm taking off for around 6 weeks.
