One month Out!

I dont know if I have lost anymore weight since my last appointment. (On April 8th I had lost 21 pounds) I don't like owning a scale so I wait to get weighed at the Dr's office.  For too many years the dreaded 'SCALE" determined my mood and ruined many a day. I started taking my measurments the day before surgery (18th) and took them again this month. I lost about 1- 1/1/2 inches here and there (Bust, hips, butt. thighs. calf. and upper arms) I didnt total the inches yet but it was about 6 inches overall. I was just happy to see myself shrinking !!
I am still on the feeding machine 12 hours a day. Hubby hooks me up about 9 at night and I sleep with it. Sometimes I get pain (sharp) inside where the tube is and I get burning on the outside frequently. Dr said the burning is because the bile leaks out and gets on my skin. I found that a triple antiobiotic cream with pain relief help a LOT. I change my bandage everyday but have to put cream on 2-3 times a day.
Nausea was a real problem for me about 5 days after I got home and he said I could eat yogurt and jello. I can't eat without taking medicine now to help the nausea. I hope that cures on it own.
When I saw Dr Lane they did an Upper GI and he came down to watch the test. He said that everythig looked good and was healing nicely. whew!
I really hate having to crush up all of my pills. The one that tastes the WORST is Prozac. I decided I would try just taking the capsule whole yesterday.. BAD IDEA! .. I was very nauseous and sick for an hour. I felt like I was going to throw up. It was not very pleasant.
Otherwise, I am feeling stronger everyday. I am happy to be taking the feedings with the Tube still. I know I wouldn't eat enough on my own to sustain. Since I had a revision to stop the problems with deficiency I am happy to not start off on the wrong foot.
