I've been over weight for about the last 13 years, I'll soon be 34 in August. I was diagnosed with PCOS 2008 although, I think I've had it for a lot longer than that. My periods are hit and miss. I was also diagnosed with Diabetes at the same time, I currently take metformin for that. This February I was diagnosed with having Chronic Kidney Disease, "(Idiopathic) Membranous Nephrotic Syndrome". It causes me to lose a lot of protein thru my urine. I have developed lil microscopic holes in my kidneys, and I retain fluid like crazy, I noticed it last August, with me feet and legs swelling. I currently take Cyclosporine for that. And I'm supposed to be on a no salt diet, but it's so hard to do a no salt diet. I'm carring around about 35-40 of water weight. I Degenerative Disk Disease as well, I found this out in March of this year. I have chronic lower back pain. I'm sure the weight don't help this issue. Oh yeah, and high blood pressure* My Nephrologist wants to get the swelling under control in my feet and legs before referring me to a bariaCric surgeon, but he defiantly thinks I need to have the surgery.
3/22/2015 I am currently on disability since 2014. I have Humana Gold Plus / Medicare. I'll be seeing Dr Bowen in Kernersville, NC in a week or two to try and get started. I'll keep you updated! 5/19/2016. I've started my 6 month diet supervised with my pcp. I am also being seen by Dr Myron a powell at Wake Forest Baptist Hospital foe the DS surgery. This is month 2.
