Oh I'm so happy as I just received an email from the Bariatric Clinic at HRRH for my pre-surgery appointments.  I will be seeing the Dietician, Social Worker and an RN.  Then I see Dr. Starr the same day also.  This is really happening.  I am just a bit worried that my surgery is going to be trouble because I am a revision.  So, I should get to work filling out the paperwork for the Dietician!!!

I am still waiting to hear from the surgeons office to get the ball rolling for my revision surgery.  I am so anxious and feeling down at the same time.  I am SO tired of being the biggest girl and having to wear clothes I dont really like.  Most of all I find that my belly gets in the way when I bend over and huffing and puffing when I exert myself. 
I needed to vent, sorry!!

Well I have decided that enough is enough.  Gained almost all of my weight back after the VBG back in 2001.  Did it fail me?  Did I fail it?  I don't know.  Anyway here I am hating myself but I am going to do something about this mess.  My family Dr referred me to a surgeon at St. Michaels Hospital in Toronto.  I had a meeting with him last week and he is very nice.  He let me talk about myself and he actually listened.  He said that my BMI is 39.5 and I have 2 comorbidities, arthritis and gastric reflux.  He said that I should hear from the weight loss surgery team and I may be having the operation at St Mikes or Humber.  I won"t hear for about 3 months though. So I wait and dream of the day my life will be worth living again.
