"I've attended the bariatric information session sponsored by Dr. Patterson and her surgery team. Very informative and organized. Dr. Patterson is not an easy surgeon to get an appointment with. I LIKE that! She makes sure you meet the criteria, and has you go through a pych. eval and dietary counseling before you get the first consultation! Then, you will be required to have bloodwork done, a sleep study conducted, and a letter from your PCP recommending the surgery. I truly believe she wants to make sure the 'whole' person is ready for the life altering event such as bariatric surgery. She seems extremely thorough and this is how I feel not having had the pleasure of meeting her yet!
