My name is Tabetha, I'm 5'4" and weigh 299 lbs 
I have been married for the past 11 years. I have a beautiful, energetic 11-year-old daughter who is everything to me! She is my motivation for having this surgery.
I have struggled with my weight since I was in middle school. I was always the chunky one of the bunch and although I hung out with the "popular" kids in school, I was still an outcast. Still to this day, that's how I feel. This is the most I have ever weighed and it is very depressing. My health is beginning to take a toll on me with back problems, knees aching, getting tired and winded just walking around the house, etc. It doesn't help that I sit behind a desk all day either. That just adds to my back bothering me even more. I try to go to the gym but having the energy is very difficult.
As of right now, I am in the process of changing insurance companies because my current one does not cover the sleeve surgery. The new insurance will start July 1, 2013 so I will hopefully get approval soon after that! I'm getting a bit nervous but very excited at the same time!!!
