OMG...tomorrow is my surgery...I never thought I would be where I am today waiting to have this done.  I have fought my insurance company & employer for 10 years to no avail...they just dont have  a clue!!!  I am a self pay patient so I am very determined to make this happen.  Dr Shina said if I follow everything he tells me to do I will get to my goal in two years...that is the amount of time I have given myself to be where I want to be...I want to loose almost a whole person--200 pounds...I know I can do it...and I do want it bad!!!  I have come to the conclusion that you have to have the right mind set for this...if you go into thinking you will fail or that it is going to be easy...that is not the right attitude...my whole life is getting ready to change...and I am ready for it...BRING IT ON!!!!

Well I started my liquid diet today..I had sugar free peach jello and chicken bullion for breakfast...and I have my juice here at work too in case i need something else.  I guess for lunch I will have lemon jello and chicken bullion,,,hhahaha...I see a pattern here...Well its all how you make it....I am so excited about Thursday...its almost here....

Today is August 1...I went for my pre-op blood work this morning...I hate needles!!  But thank goodness they got it first stick!!!  I am so afraid of that IV..I have had them stick me and stick me...you would think after 46 years I would be use to it...but it still scares me everytime.  I am 5 days away from my surgery...I was getting a little down (saying goodbye to all my food friends ) and then I went shopping at the outlet mall with my mom and I bought myself some new tops in a size XL...I have wanted this so bad for so long...and its finally  here...I think I am still in some shock...I go on liquids only starting Tuesday and my surgery is at 9:45 on Thursday...I am ready to wake up on the other side and begin my new life!!!

Today is Monday July 19...I am a little over two weeks away from my surgery.  I am so excited and so nervous all at the same time...I have wanted this for so long!!!   I am a self pay patient so my process has went pretty seamlessly..although a person in the Dr Shina's office wasnt very on top of things...I have to say she was the only bump in the road I have encountered,...I start my no carb diet this Thursday...I will have to check back in and tell how that is going....
