my hair is falling out , lots of it, I can see my scalp and I am starting to freak out, I really really hope that eating more protein will get it to come back over time, this is really getting me down :(

I heard of people having some kind of card they show when dining out to be able to order off kids meals.  My doc has not given me one.  Is there anyway to get one other then through your doctor?

Hard to believe 6 weeks has went by, probably because I slept a couple of them away in pain,  I am sooooooooo happy to be off my pain meds, the pain had got so bad that I went to the ER and they gave me Dilaudid and that stuff works but I was so out of it.   So much more energy and I can walk now and am starting to lose more weight YAY, just having some problems with tightness in my chest and a lot of saliva coming up if I eat too fast or the wrong thing.  I will learn.  I hope everyone is doing well and that your summer is a wonderful one :)

It looks like I have an infection in the hole where my port was.  I go to see Dr Scott tomorrow about it.  My left side has been hurting quite a bit for a couple of days now and I am tired.  No fever though so that is good.  Tomorrow is my 4 yr anniversary so not the best way to spend it.  But it could be worse they didn't tell me to go to the er.  I am down 17 lbs since May 5th.  Truelly amazing.  72 lbs to go I wish it would keep coming off this fast but I know it wont.   I know in the long run I will look back at these bad days as if they never really happened but right now some days are good and some are really hard. 

I went for my follow up appt with Dr Scott this morning.  He took out my drainage port , pain ball and staples.   Yay finally free of a bunch of stuff hanging off my body.  Then I went home and had hard boiled egg whites for breakfast.  YUMMY!  I am so happy to be back on some real food.   We went to the grocery store and I got some ricotta, yukon gold potatos, greek yogurt.  Unfortunately I do not like cream of wheat and alot of the soft foods but I love egg whites so I am set until my next phase which is after I see the doc again on June 4th.   It was wonderful being out in the car going to the doctor and seeing sunshine.   I can't wait to go out again later. 

It feels so good to be home with my hubby and my puppy and kitty and in my jammies where I do not have to worry who is around to see what I look like since I am not up to looking all cute these days.   I took my first shower since the morning of surgery.  It felt AWESOME.  I hate how my stomach is bloated but people are telling me that will go down soon I hope I hope.  My hospital De Paul in St Louis was absolutely wonderful the nurses there are so nice and take very good care of you.  I am a little sore and worn out but the more I rest the more I feel I can do when I wake up.  I hope this week goes by fast and that I am feeling better soon. 

Seems like just yesterday I was fighting with insurance to get an approval then I finally got it.  YAY!

Today I went for my presurgery testing day and they gave me my surgery date.  It is Cinco De Mayo.  No tequila for me YAY!  I can't believe I am having this done in 5 days. 

So many rules so much to remember but luckily I have the most wonderful man in the world by my side.
