I have been overweight most of my life. In fact, I don't remember what it is like to be thin. I just found out about a year ago that I was born with lymphedema that was caused from the complications my mom had while she was pregnant with me. She was swollen up so bad while pregnant with me that she had to stay in bed for the last few months before she had me. On the day I was born, they had to force my mom's labor or we would have both died that day.
As the years went on, my weight climbed higher and higher, no matter what I did. My highest weight was 750 pounds. I haven't had my surgery yet and I have heard nothing from them about it, but I have lost close to 300 pounds on my own and I plan to keep going.
