It's been 7 weeks today since I had surgery. Today was the first time that I wondered "what have I done??" I've lost 32 lbs since surgery but it just seems to be coming off so slow! I am trying to increase my calories to about 1000 or so every day but have a hard time doing this! My nut said this was probably the reason why I wasn't losing steadily! The first 20 lbs came off in 2 wks. But I get nauseous and sick feeling with alot of foods still. I have a problem with getting on the scale every day so last week I had my hubby take it out of the bathroom and am going to weigh myself once a week from now on.
I am trying to focus on identifying what has led to me gaining so much weight and on developing better habits to combat these things. I have actully got a good handle on these, I think!
#1) really bad eating habits. (like eating once a day, and then nothing too healthy)
#2)eating out of boredom and when stressed. This one is HUGH! I always have eaten when stressed and this is my toughest one to overcome.
#3)not drinking enough. (maybe I would have 1-2 glasses of water a day)
#4) not enough exercise. This is a tough one too because of my long 12 hr night shifts!
I have plans to overcome these obstacles and will be working on these daily. Hopefully I will suceed!
