I'm 49 years old and weigh 332 lbs and 5'11" tall. I was slightly over weight from 18 to 25 years old. After that I started gaining weight and could not stop it, I tried many different diets with the typical outcomes, lose between 30 to 50 lbs and then gain it all back and more, I have been investigating bariatric surgery for the last year. I finially made the decision to go ahead with the RNY surgery. I have meet with the surgeon, dietician and the pysch. two times and have succesfully passed the MMPI test. I completed my blood work today so I;m waiting to hear back from my surgeon on my next steps. The way it sounds is I should be able to have the surgery by the end of October. My main concern right know is that I will fail at this like I have all other attempts that I have made. Can anyone give me any thoughts on this?
