"I met him at the February 2002 support group meeting at Memorial Hosptial in Jacksonville, Florida. I loved him right away. He appears to be extremely competent and has a wonderful sense of humor. His reputation is excellent, and the only negative thing I have ever heard about him is that he has very high standards and that he makes you lose 10% of your weight before he will do the surgery. After listening to him speak, this weight loss seems to me like a positive, as it is much better for you when you undergo surgery if you have recently lost some weight. "
