"First pre op visit with Dr Melvin, I walked away impressed with him. He was very down to earth. He also was very nice and spent time talking to my 5 yr old daughter. Anyone who is friendly to my child scores high in my book. He answered all my questions honestly. And I had some tough ones for him because I'm an RN (15 yrs) and I wanted to know his experience, how many surgeries performed, worst complication he had seen.
One thing I did not like was that a first year med student did my history and physical. She was very timid and not thorough at all. I had already had a physical by my primary care physician, or I would have been quite upset. I realize that Ohio State University Hospital is a large teaching facility, but students need direction.
