My name is Teresa. I had my RNY on January 2, 2009 , the day before my 39th birthday. I had my surgery at the Cleveland Clinic. I couldn't have asked for better care. They are all wonderful, caring professionals. When I started on April 2, 2008 I weighed 278lbs.  9 months to the day (thats what my insurance required) from when I attended my orientation I had my surgery. Now here it is April 9, 2009 and I have lost 60 lbs. I am down to 218 lbs. I feel like a completely different person! I can play with my grandbaby (Luv u Bri!) and not get wore out! My sister who literally went thru everything with me has been my biggest supporter. Hard to believe it's us sometimes. We are both getting to be such skinny bitches!!! I love your scrawny ass Boob! Thanks for everything. Protein is the key after surgery. When we start getting into a rut we up the protein. Plus if you don't get your protein you WILL lose your hair! Not attractive. I have nothing but good things to say about the Cleveland clinic & the staff. Other than my shrink Windover. Wasn't a fan of her at all. I found her rude, judgemental, & an all around know it all. No other doctor knew what they were talking about other than her. She was a little to full of herself. Other than thatno complaints. Everything from the time I arrived for my surgery to discharge was great. And the pain medicine ball they put on your stomach after surgery...Wonderful!! Hardly had any pain. My surgeon was positively wonderful. He made me feel completely at ease going into the O.R. If you are going to have this surgery Cleveland Clinic is the place to go. Excellent!!

Well here I am 6 months later! I started out at 278lbs & now weigh in at 212lbs! I think I have done pretty good but feel like it could be better. I'm not really complaining mind you:) But for the past couple of months I feel like I'm at a stand still. I know it's normal to get stuck but it really blows when it happens! LOL I guess I should look at it as I am 66 pounds closer to my goal of 150 lbs. But I'm still 62 lbs from it. But still I look DAMN GOOD. I can now literally stand in one leg of my pants that I wore home from my surgery! I have went from a size 22/24 to a 12. I have a 10/11 that I can get into but...comfort isn't an option in them. Well I will update later.

Well I'm finally under 200lbs!!!! Got up this morning and I was 198lbs. It is still comeing off. Just a little slower:) But I'm getting there! My 10/11 pants are almost comfortable:) I'll get there!

Well...Since I last updated I got a new grandaughter! Welcome Khloe Raye:) I made it into a size 10 comfortably! I'm down to 188lbs:) But everyone even my sister (who is brutally honest) says I could pass for 140-150lbs! Only 33 lbs to go until I hit my goal weight, then I don't care if I get any smaller or not! The only downside is that my legs & arms are flabby. They remind me of a car w/out shocks...even though I stop moving they don't!!! My belly has some loose skin but hopefully if I could get motivated & actually exercise I could take care of that problem. I would also probably reach my goals ALOT faster! But overall I am the happiest about my body that I have been in a long time:)

Well. I have definitely more than reached my goals! I am now a size 2-3!!! I can get into a size zero but they aren't to comfy!LOL The only things I have issues with are my breast & extra skin on my tummy. There is no mass to them at all & they are beyond painful! The tummy thing is uncomfortable because it often feels like it's being torn if anything lays on my stomach. But overall I'm very happy with my WLS & have no regrets.
